Helmkamp Cares Foundation Marks Another Year of Community Impact in 2025
The Helmkamp Cares Foundation is proud to share the impact of its 2025 charitable efforts, supporting 57 organizations and continuing a growing legacy of community reinvestment that has reached $949,750 since the foundation was formally established in 2019.
Throughout the year, Helmkamp employees, clients, and partners rallied around causes focused on education, healthcare, youth programs, and local community services. Giving initiatives included committee-directed grants, employee-selected donations, customer-driven holiday giving, and company matching programs — allowing the foundation’s support to remain both strategic and personal.
Through the annual SIUE Scholarship Program and to support our next generation of builders, two Construction Management students were awarded $2,500 scholarships recognizing academic achievement and community involvement.
Healthcare initiatives also played a major role in this year’s impact. Through participation in the STL Construction Pink Out, our industry showed up and helped provide 2,750 healthy meals, 400 rides to treatment, 25 post-surgery cleaning kits, and 250 peer support opportunities for women battling breast cancer in the St. Louis region.
In 2025, the foundation launched a new matching program. In honor of former owner John “Jack” Helmkamp, Jr., Helmkamp elected to support the fight against dementia-related diseases. This inaugural effort resulted in $14,500 donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
The foundation also awarded Maximum Impact Donations of $20,000 each to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and The December 5th Fund — organizations serving children and families through mentorship, safe housing solutions, and support for those facing serious illness.
Rounding out the year, Helmkamp’s client and employee holiday events resulted in $10,000 worth of donations at each event, along with toy collections benefiting Toys for Tots.
The Helmkamp Cares Foundation remains committed to strengthening the communities where its people live and work and looks forward to building on this momentum in the years ahead.
